ABOUT GOOD GRIEF

When her father dies unexpectedly, not only must Domonique “Pastor D” Washington learn to navigate new realities amid overwhelming grief, but she must also do so publicly as the heir apparent of his ministry. Despite her spiritual training as well as her professional training as a counselor, she lays bare her struggles to cope with the greatest love and loss of her life. Yet, relying on that same training, Pastor D offers personal, relatable, and poignant revelations about love, loss, and the transformative power of good grief.

Pastor Domonique, though not a licensed therapist, received her master's degree in Ministry with a focus on family and marriage therapy from Grace College and Seminary in 2022. Her passion for the health and well-being of others, both spiritually and naturally, is deep, as she has been an ordained minister since her youth. She is the Lead Pastor of Higher Ground Outreach Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana--a ministry founded by her parents, the late Bishop Rickey Washington Sr and Pastor Lesia Washington.

Pastor Domonique is on the road to never being forgotten as she continues to pen works that will impact the world for generations to come.
